Brain injury symptoms I woke up in a hospital bed of a five-bed ward, just behind the nurse’s station. I did not know where I was or what had happened to me. I couldn’t move my legs and I thought I was dreaming as I have no recollection of the events leading up to it. I did not understand why I needed the tube that was going straight up my nose, I did not know anything.

I am here to tell you that it is possible to recover after a serious, life-changing event, such as a stroke, car accident, or Motivation brain injury to name a few. Even though my life is different now, it is not all doom and gloom and I have a rather bright-looking future. I have written a detailed story about my crash  and my life following it and when I refer to my story on this page, that is the story I am talking about.  If you are interested in reading more about brain injuries, here is a link to the site of the organisation called Synapse. WHAT WILL MY STORY BE ABOUT

I was on my way to school one morning and the result of not seeing a car while I was at an intersection nearly meant the end of my life. Brain injury I have had to relearn almost everything again, such as walking, talking, eating, the list goes on. Just think about it, imagine having to learn to walk, talk or even eat again. I have needed to relearn all of these things plus so much more, all the while still being able to remember that I used to be able to do those things. I have made considerable improvements since my crash and you can read all about them in my book.

WHY I WANT TO HELP PEOPLE

Light at the end of the tunnel I am interested in the idea of helping people that have suffered a brain injury, the loved ones of those with the injury, people who have experienced some form of setg back and need some encouragement that there can be light at the end of the tunnel or even people who need a little inspiration. I have a kind heart so helping others is a passion of mine and I see it as my duty to share this information with others.

When I first sustained my injury, my parents were the main people who were looking after me. When I talk to them about that time now, they tell me that they searched everywhere for information and support. I want to offer people the support my parents were searching for.

I have had a lot of support during my recovery and as a result, I now want to offer my support to others with ideas of products, therapies, or ways of doing things etc, that have helped me recover, Directions on how to recover after a brain injury or even some inspiration to go on.
